MOUNTAIN ROAD LIFE
SHOPPING GUIDE
We have compiled a list of items and foods that we use on a daily basis in our home. We think through the quality of a company, choosing local, fair trade and sustainably made whenever possible. Additionally, we examine the nature of the products, making sure that they are as nontoxic as possible and contribute to holistic health. Many of the products have been discussed in Mountain Road Life blog posts. As always, shopping locally, supporting the surrounding community, and creating homemade products should take first priority. But when that’s not possible, these are the products and brands that we’ve come to know and appreciate. We use affiliate links, through which we earn a commission.

CLOTHING
To avoid toxic materials, I choose clothing made from natural materials, such as cotton, wool, hemp, linen, cashmere and silk. I have a blog post on the topic here.

SKINCARE
As a rule of thumb, I try to only apply ingredients to my skin that I could actually eat. Read all about my full skincare routine in this blog post!
HAIRCARE
I have been using Morrocco Method products exclusively for my full haircare routine for the last 5 years. There’s a learning curve and it takes awhile to transition hair to raw, natural ingredients, but I’ll never go back to conventional shampoos! I’ve written multiple blog post reviews on various products:
